On the morning of July 15, the First Hong Kong and Macao Youth Constitutional Law and Basic Law Shenzhen Training Base was established in Shenzhen University. The Base was jointly initiated by the Shenzhen Overseas Friendship Association and the Shenzhen University. By conducting research and training courses on the Constitutional, the Basic Law, national security education, investigation of the achievements of socialist rule of law, etc., the Base is aiming to help people from Hong Kong and Macao, especially teenagers, to enhance their national awareness and patriotism.
After the establishment of the Base, the Shenzhen Overseas Friendship Association will take advantage of its extensive connections with all walks of life in Hong Kong and Macao and invite social groups and schools from Hong Kong and Macao to jointly initiate training programs.
The Center for Basic Law of Hong Kong and Macao SAR from Shenzhen University will create a distinctive curriculum that well suits the characteristics of Hong Kong and Macao youths. The Center will also fully incorporate with enterprises and social resources in Shenzhen to develop on-site teaching, so that through the "window" of Shenzhen, teenagers from Hong Kong and Macao can have a deep understanding of the Constitutional law, Basic Law and the achievements of the mainland economy, society and rule of law.
