Biography:
Prof. Ye Haibo is Shenzhen University's professor of law and the deputy dean of law school, as well as Development Research Center of the State Council’s senior researcher of Hong Kong and Macau Research Institute, Guangdong Province Law Society’s general secretary of Hong Kong and Macau Research Association, Shenzhen University’s deputy director of Center for Basic Law of Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions, Shenzhen University’s executive director of Institute of Compliance Studies, Shenzhen University’s deputy director of Center for Inner-Party Laws and Regulations Studies, Shenzhen University’s deputy director of Institute of Anticorruption Studies, China Law Society’s council member of Constitution Research Association and Legislation Research Association, University of Wisconsin-Madison’s visiting scholar of law school, and Shenzhen University-University of Macau Joint PhD Program’s PhD advisor. Covering both theoretical and practical topics, his major research disciplines include constitutional law, administrative law, inner-Party laws and regulations studies, legal compliance theories and practices, basic laws of Hong Kong and Macau, and national supervision law and system. Many of his academic papers have been published on various professional journals of multiple levels, such as Tsinghua University Law Journal, Law and Social Development, Law Review, Law Science, ECUPL Journal, etc. He has also published academic books such as Research on Reform of State Supervisory System (co-author) and Study on the Constitutionalization of the Political Party. Having presided various research projects of multiple levels including the ones funded by National Social Science Fund and Ministry of Education, he has won a second prize of the 4th Ministry of Justice’s Law Textbook and Research Achievement Award, and a third prize of the 7th China Constitution Research Association’s Research Achievement (Academic Paper) Award for Young and Middle-aged Scholars. Since recruited by Shenzhen University in 2007, Prof. Ye has mainly taught courses including constitutional law, basic laws of Hong Kong and Macau, and supervision law. He has won a first prize and a second prize of Shenzhen University’s Excellent Undergraduate Course-teaching Award.
